Blend in. You're a human just like them. That's what he kept saying to himself. After all, he had never met his mother, father, or family, so he considered himself as human as they were. They being the people he was around. He blended in nicely enough; just the chains hanging from his right arm gave him away as no ordinary guy. ranted, they were just chains, but who carries those around at all times?
Well, not like he cared about what they though, so long as they thought he was human. So long as HE thought he was human. In the Magnum capital city, outside the university, he walked amongst a crowd of humans. It was here he hoped to read about that which he targeted, and seek it out. It was here, that his journey began.
Nier Mirroheart, heir to the Kohma bloodline's legacy and self proclaimed guardian of Torrent, at your service. The only problem was, Torrent was missing. Anyone with any remote magical sense would be able to tell him apart from the others. However, the only ones with any magical sense were his own bloodline; he would see them coming as well.
That is, unless some unheard of other race also had magical properties.

Why did so many have to die?
In so many different situations, there were followed occurrences related to death—it was never-ending, and truly exhausting as well. She had cried so much, she couldn’t anymore.
“Maybe it would be best to stay away from people. Who said you needed friends?” She questioned herself, but another part of her told her otherwise.
Miyun, you know you’d get nowhere if it weren’t for friends..
It was true, there was so much that she could not achieve on her own. She was AFRAID of being alone, all these reasons linked to her past. There'd been many times that her lonliness from being alone had gotten her tricked by horrible people.
Miyun was hurt, uneasy too. Perhaps if she went into town, it would help her? No one ever said she'd have to trust them. Ever. She was the one who would always trust them first.

There wasn't anything out of the ordinary in this area, so he was more off guard. Magnum was a big city though, ever since it's creation almost a thousand years ago, it had been the epicenter for all trade, education, and in some cases, provided the most adequate soldiers. It had grown and changed since the last time it was saved, by the woman everyone now called "Saoirse's blessing". The world free of Zephyrus was much more at peace, with a few minor exceptions, one being that Torrent was missing.
And Torrent is what bound Zephyrus' power away. Whoever stole it was either planning to resurrect him, or use it for their own gain. Either way, it had to be found WITHOUT causing panic. Little did he know how split the timeline truly was between this and the next world. A paradox which somehow allowed two Junes to exist, and let history here progress as normal.
He was about to find out how this was possible, as he stumbled upon a girl who looked to be spacing out. Upon another glance he determined her human, not a threat, and immediately made his way to her, to see what was wrong.
The idiot never let a woman to herself.
"Hey, miss, you alright? It's rush hour and you're gonna get trampled if you keep walkin' against traffic."

[ . o. ... ]
Miyun nearly leaped backward when a voice suddenly dragged her out of her thoughts. The blond rose her head just barely to look into the boy's face, "O-Oh, am I really walking against traffic?" She took a scan around her, watching as people passed by, pushing their ways one another. One almost even knocked her back. She frowned, and nervously grabbed the stranger's arm as to not fall. "Sorry..." She mumbled softly. "I'm fine, just fine...so there's nothing for you to worry about. " Anyone who knew the woman well enough would know that it was just an excuse she said to be sure no one worried about her. But he knew nothing about her, so it shouldn't be a problem.

His damsel-in-distress radar began beeping, which as a metaphor was equal to a lie detector in his head, and his eyes met hers with a slightly stronger gaze. He never let a topic go unless it was resolved. This wasn't an exception.
"You know there's more to it, and I know there's more to it. Why don't we just sit down and talk it over with some drinks? I know a place that makes killer Brew."
A nonalcoholic beverage of the Magnum trade. His mannerisms at this point stuck out as unusual, or perhaps to this girl, familiar. But then, the source of them was long dead. Those ages old sarcastic remarks and that same standoffish need to protect. Seems Daisuke was still passing his genes on.
Even if this was his great grandson.
"Say, you even from around here?" he began. "Magnum ain't as free flowing as it used to be. After they added the cookie cutter system, the roads got put in, and carriages being drawn by Trites have been everywhere."
Trites, of course, being four legged serpents that were tamed and ridden, or that pulled carriages. They were tailless, and had wide neck frills.
"Name's Nier by the way. Nier Mirroheart, last trainee of the legendary Drey Mirroheart, in the flesh."

Since when did people become so friendly? Miyun could remember the times when people would always betray her, stab her in the back; the memories were not so comforting, but meant some. If it wasn't for all that, she would have never met Daisuke -- the one who this boy was so similar to. The destruction of her homeland, the abuse by her adoptive parents; it all led to where they were now.
"Ah, " the blond was silent for a while, her crimson eyes set on the ground. "No, I am not from around here. " She couldn't really say where she was from. It was such a long time ago, she could hardly remember. But the images of falling, burning bodies would never leave her mind. Tears brimmed her eyes suddenly, and she tightly gripped her left arm to stay calm. "Does that mean I have to leave? I don't, do I?" She'd gotten here by flying, which was why she hadn't been stopped. Though, she wasn't about to mention that aloud.
At his introduction, a warm smile came to her lips and she rose her gaze. "It's very nice to meet you, Nier. My name is Miyun." She didn't mention her surname, since she was often being tracked down by many people "because she was a nice subject to test on". She bit her inner cheek lightly.

"Miyun huh?" his mind drifted to the history books. Girl by that name was in them a ways back, around the Koto era and the uprising. It was kind of funny to think about. But then there's no way this was the same girl, so it might've been her parents were history buffs, or maybe a nickname or something. He didn't ask, so it didn't matter.
"You a history fan? That's the name of one of the girl Daisuke went around with for a while."
Everyone around here knew Daisuke. He was a household name even more than June, but for all the wrong reasons. June was loved. She was also still alive, though. Then again June was only a few hundred years old. Two or so? He didn't give a damn, she wasn't anything to him.
Except his mom.
"You're welcome here. It's Magnum, they welcome everyone. Neganite's center for trade and peace since the Zephyrus downfall and the rule of June."

Miyun quickly brushed her tears from her eyes with her hand, doing this so that none would realize how bothered she was. Especially a stranger, she had no clue who he was, really.
Hearing him comment on her name, Miyun blinked, smiling slightly; even when the mentioning of Daisuke stung immensely. "No, it's my real name." She informed him softly, though she couldn't go on in telling her full name, if she added "Hael Celeste Watashae", anyone who was after her would be there in a moments notice. "Maybe I'll tell you about my name later, but not now... I can't say anything now..." They were in such a busy town. She couldn't say her name, she couldn't show her wings.
"I see..." So Zephyrus was down. It was quite good news, considering how harsh he was. Sadly though, she only remembered the man faintly, not everything was fresh in her memory. There was so much stress, she had repressed some memories, and had forgotten them. "So June... June rules this place...?" She questioned with a small frown. "You're sure about that?"

Go ahead and assume for a moment that this was a heartwarming meeting, or that in fact the historical timeline was distorted and faded because of the existence of a second June. One need only to ask how this is possible to understand that it actually isn't possible at all, but rather predestination by name of the great Saoirse was behind the madness. Now place ones head into the thought process of what was going on again, and we have the answer to the question the new girl joining the others was about to ask.
"Why do you care if June's in charge or not?"
She asked this to the unfamiliar woman, and gave her ex companion a glare.
"So, how long do you plan on pretending you're human Nier? I think the poor girl deserves the whole story, don't you?"
A smug look came about her as she flicked her hand forward, from the sleeve shooting out a Mage wand which she held very sternly at his face. It was clear, and almost too obvious, that she did not care at all for him. She had the skills to back up her smack talk, but decided upon an easier route and rested her wand. This was a civil place, and she would obey it's laws even if she did hate it. At least until she took it down from within.

[[ I hate this post... ]]
Of course she hadn't wanted to upset anyone by asking about June being in charge, she meant no offense by it. She simply thought after all of this that June was dead, she was, wasn't she? Miyun nervously glanced into the woman's eyes, and thought carefully of how to reply. She had made an offensive remark before, so she needed to be sure not to repeat her mistakes. "Hmm? Nothing's wrong with it.. it was just an honest question." She replied as she shrugged her shoulders. Why did she look so much like her?
Still, the temper of the newcomer scared her. She pointed her wand at Nier without him even doing anything! "He doesn't have to tell me anything... I'm just some stranger." Miyun wouldn't yet admit that she knew Daisuke, not until she knew them both better. It would be hypocritical to hear their story, and not tell hers. "It's fine, honestly. I don't mind it." She wasn't exactly human either, so she couldn't say she had anything wrong with it.

"I see you're just as angry as always." Nier gave the newcomer a light sigh of annoyance and shrugged. He knew her too well, and he honestly wasn't even too objective about it. She was a raving cultist lunatic, but she was kinda fun sometimes.
Sometimes.
"I don't feel the need to explain myself on that one. Why don't you share the story, oh wise Alaine?"
So, she was irritating him a little. Oh well, spinning his chain around slowly calmed him down. He had a temper like she did, but he was a lot more physical about it. Nothing short of beating up people he didn't like just because they looked at him funny was what he often did. But hey, at least he was honest about it.
"Miyun, right? Your name's in history books. Since the delightful miss Alaine here just spoiled the mystery, might as well tell you I can sense magical energy. I picked up on yours already. No need to explain."
He stopped the spinning of the chain and took a deep breath. Drey would be proud, the jerk finally showed restraint.
"You probably know all about who I'm related to just knowing that. This raving liberal here is a cousin of mine." he said, talking of course about Alaine.

So he knew? He knew all along that she wasn't human, even with all she had done to try and hide it? She'd tried to cloak her own unusual presence so that her aura couldn't be sensed, apparently it hadn't worked. This boy had to be more powerful than her, and with his resemblance to him, he knew exactly what family he belonged to, what he was.
"So we both know eachother's identity now?" Miyun smiled warmly, well, at least the tension had left. Neither of them had to worry about explaining themselves anymore. "Seems the tension's off, anything else you wanna say Nier?" There was a strange sweetness in her tone, why? Because basically, Nier was family. Distant, and not blood relative, but still family. "I suppose... I have no choice but to clarify. I know I don't have to... but... You're correct, I'm just like the Miyun in the history books... I am that Miyun, Miyun Hael Celeste Watashae, pleased to meet you." In her usual politeness, she bowed and her smile became brighter. "I knew something was familiar about you. Now I know~"

"What difference should it make?" Nier gave her a snap, his temper flaring and his attitude souring. He was never one for pleasant conversation. Alaine deserved any amount of pissed off brutality she got. But with today's age of morals, if they fought here it would be bad for his image. He would wait for a while. Besides, he was weaker than her. By a longshot, actually; he didn't know how to do much else besides whip his chain around.
"We should really tone back the conversation though, I don't know about the rest of you but I don't need the frickin' paparazzi on my ass all day, asking me questions about people I don't even know."
He had never met June. In fact, he had no idea he was a Kohma until very recently.
"There's really only one thing I can say out in the open, and that's that I've never met June. But then who has? She's been like a damn super hero to this world, only showing up when we need her. Our lovely guest miss Alaine here has, if memory serves, fought alongside her."
Which to anyone in this world was a huge honor. Almost as big as meeting face to face with Saoirse herself.
Speaking of.
"Thou speak of Saoirse's hero?"
A girl with hair green as the plains of Koto approached the group, completely uninvited and otherwise relatively out of nowhere. Accompanying her was a small pet lizard on her shoulder. She was at the young age of thirteen, very short, and seemed to be cheery.
"If thou dost wish it, I might hold tales of which thou shalt find curious regarding topics as these."
Thankfully, Nier seemed to have no idea who she was.
"Kinda random, but... Wait, what's with the accent?"
"Dost thou find the proposed information curious?"
"Uh..." Nier gave the others a confused look and shrugged. "Depends on them I guess. I'm up for it, since it would shut up tall, pale and crazy over there."

A snarky cretin as he always was. However, the appearance of a new face brought about a more pleasant experience for all of them. Her green hair reminded Alaine of natural substances like trees and plains. The lizard seems more intimidating than he appeared to be, just by sheer stare factor. This Miyun girl was apparently historical, thus making her an important figure, and thus making her an instant target of the rebellion. There's nothing Alaine hates more than historical figures that influence the world of today, where she believes it needs to return to equal instinctual fending.
"Oh, please do enlighten us, we could use a peaceful conversation!"
Cheery, she seemed. Somehow she was actually cheerful, despite her animosity toasted the two people before her. It should indeed surprise the newcomers, but her dear cousin knew very well of her wild mood swings.
"I'm Alaine. This is my cousin Nier and our friend Miyun."
She gave her female counterpart an urging glance with a smile, as if signaling her to introduce herself.
What a friendly psychopath.

It was hard for Miyun to not find it strange when the green-haired girl came to them, not only speaking in an accent, but talking like her parents often would, it scared her a bit, of course because of the fact that they were dead. She hadn't heard a form of speech like this for quite a long time, especially someone in this land. The blond stayed quiet, not wanting to say much to the newcomer, who knew what she would say. She would've mentioned June, but felt she should let the girl speak. Miyun frowned as the wind flew by-- she wanted to fly, but that would be too risky in a town like this.
