A large forest, surrounded by tall trees that cover up all the sun, leaving a dark shade around.

Back in Halure, Raven had gotten bored and walked out of the city, but when he saw a little girl walk into the forest, he followed. After all, if he saw the girl go in the forest and he didn't follow, and she got hurt; it would be his fault. He looked around for her, but it looked like she had already left. Raven scratched his head with a sigh. " Kids are to fast for this elder. " He mumbled to himself as he looked around, hearing the screeches of monsters and birds. It was dark from all of the trees blocking the sun, casting many large shadows all over the place that left in dark, looking like it was midnight.

This world...
What was it?
In the darkest of shadows, black flames suddenly burst forth, almost shrouding the remaining light in its darkness before a figure stepped out of it, trench coat billowing behind him for a moment before the flames vanished, and all was still. A single, golden, cat-like eye scanned his surroundings, narrowing as he was unable to recognize the area around him.
Suddenly, another flash, this time of light as it appeared overhead. Dairen's eyes flashed as he jumped back, ready to strike back as his own weapons - two unique, oversized claws - morphed and apeared strapped onto his arms.
Yet the figure that fell was a child whose gender was hidden almost thoroughly by the white cloak surrounding it. Curious, Dairen stepped closer, cautious as the thing moved slowly, groggily. Soon the hood fell away, revealing sapphire-blue hair and big, golden eyes that eventually looked up at him.
The demon smirked, slowly realizing the identity of the person in front of him.
"Well, well," he spoke smoothly, using one of his claws to tilt the boy's head back, getting a better look into those innocent eyes. Already, the child was shaking, fear obvious in his eyes, but also an almost blank look in them.
He did not remember anything.

Raven walked past about twenty trees before scratching his head, a sigh escaping his lips. He was getting tired of walking around the forest. He continued walking though, hoping to find the exit, which he had forgotten where it was. Suddenly he saw a man and a boy that seemed to be fighting. It looked like the man was about to hurt the innocent boy, so he took out his bow and put an arrow in it, swinging an arrow towards the man, Dairen, heading straight for his back.

Instantly, Dairen knew something was up, glancing behind him for a split second before a wall of flames came up behind him, engulfing the arrow that would have otherwise lodged into his body. Leaving the child alone, he turned around completely, facing his would-be attacker, smirking lightly as he recognized the aura before him as being human, through-and-through.
"Come out, little rat," he spoke, clasping his hands together, the claws on his arms morphing into a single, black blade of flames. It was easily a two-handed weapon by the way he carried it, the thing just oozing aura. "Or don't you care what happens to this child?"
It wasn't Tohru, of that he was sure. He knew the blasted soldier's aura, and this wasn't it.

Raven was surprised to see what Dairen did. He listened to what the man had to say, hearing as he said something about not wanting the kid to get hurt. Raven his bow out in front of him again as he shot another arrow towards Dairen, hoping that this time he might be able to at least cut through him, and stop him from killing the kid.

Dairen, blank expression as always, easily pulled his blade in an upwards slash, cutting the arrow in half as his eye narrowed, letting his sword drop down to his side.
"I see... so you won't come out," he mused quietly, more to himself than anything. He spared but a glance at the blue-haired child behind him, smirking ever-so-slightly before shadows shot out and surrounded the boy, startling him. With a simple command, the shadows bound the boy, causing him to yelp out in surprise as he struggled. Dairen would save him for later, perhaps for when he found Tohru. He needed to take care of the insect first.
"If you won't come out, then I suppose I'll just have to drag you, won't I?"
He had easily pin-pointed his assailants location, letting his sword drop for the briefest moments as he held out one hand in the direction of the enemy, the limb glowing for a split moment before a pool of shadows appeared at Raven's feet, barely noticeable until it shot out and grabbed the archer, pulling him out of hiding and into the open, where Dairen could see him.

Raven was a bit surprised when something grabbed his feet, dragging him out from the trees that he was hiding behind. After being dragged out he scratched his head. " Well, I was just passing by, and I couldn't just let a little kid wander off by himself and get hurt. After all, its an elders job to keep kid safe. " He joked around, but what he was really thinking about was what the hell was that guy?

Daren's eye narrowed, the shadows around Raven getting tighter before more shot out of the ground, attaching around his arms, other leg, and neck. "You must have terrible luck, then," he spoke, turning his gaze on the blue-haired child behind him. "This child... is the Engill Vindur of our world. His existence is a problem, and therefor must be erased.
He wasn't about to explain the full story. There was no need, not to this... human, strange though he may be. This whole world was strange, and he didn't like it one bit. Not that it hindered his abilities: if anything, it seemed to enhance them, almost. Perhaps he'd even pick up a few new techniques of his own while here.
"I believe, unless you have more to say, we are done here?" he said, closing his eye for a moment before concentrating a little more on his magic, causing the binds on the 'old man' to tighten, cutting skin, possibly even breaking bone. "Unfortunately, I cannot allow you to leave alive. Not after seeing me."

The shadows around Raven tightened, feeling as if his bones were breaking. He couldn't even feel his left leg any longer, and his right leg beginning to get crushed. Being stuck by the shadows, he managed to pull his knife out of his pocket, throwing it at Dairen. " I won't go down, not that easily... " He said, though his lungs felt like they were shutting down on him, and he couldn't really breathe. He got himself into the damn mess, but he had to, he couldn't let the kid get hurt. Suddenly his right leg completely gave up on him, as well as his left leg, as he fell to his knees, hoping that the knife did, and if it didn't, the man might attack again, and would probably kill Raven in one more shot. " Damn... " He whispered to himself, wincing in pain as he could barely even stay awake, not able to breathe.

Dairen made a small noise of amusement, watching as the human struggled with the shadows. It no doubt hurt him, he could see the pain in his eyes. A small smirk made its way onto his face as he watched the human suffer, only further tightening the shadows, intending to end it.
"L-Leave him alone!"
Dairen turned around just in time to block the oncoming blade of wind, his shadows protecting him as he looked down on the child, staring wide-eyed with frightened, golden eyes. There was faint recognition, almost, but nothing more. The child only seemed able to recognize what was going on.
"Stay out of this," he commanded, tightening the shadows around the boy, earning a cry of pain. The child needed to know his place.
"I... I won't let you... hurt him... !"
The child was reaching his limit, Dairen knew. He could see it in those eyes...
Yet the tighter the shadows, the stronger the glow around the boy, until finally it just burst through, disintegrating the shadows. Off-guard, Dairen created a shield, blocking the oncoming onslaught of wind blades until he could finally drop it, growling as he prepared to strike the boy.
Gone.
Spinning around, Dairen saw the child with the human instead, white, feathery wings on his back. The shadows on the human, too, had vanished, and the child seemed to be effortlessly lifting his body.
"You are not escaping me again!" Dairen snarled, his own form morphing as bat-like wings grew on his own back, golden eyes inverting and fangs growing, shadows racing up to catch the duo. Yet whatever was protecting them repelled it, and the child had escaped.
Gone...
Again...
The demon yelled in rage, shadows erupting from his form and bursting out at the surrounding area, obliterating a good mile radious around him.
When the shadows vanished, so did the demon...

Raven breathed in and out; after being released by Dairen's shadows. He winced in pain once more though, not able to feel his right arm, or and of his legs. " D- damn... That was close, thank kid. " He said with a sigh, all parts of his body hurting, feeling as if he was just ran over by a car, or something of the sort, but somehow survived. The old man suddenly coughed, a bit of blood coming out of his mouth as he put his left hand onto his right shoulder, his shoulder bone on that side had broken, and hurt badly, if it weren't for that kid, Raven would be dead.
