The beach. Always a hotspot for teens, getaways, summer vacations, and beached mermaids-- Wait, what?
A young lady with a clearly visible fish half for a lower body washed up, quite anticlimactically, along the shores of the unnamed beach. She looked hurt, maybe even dead. No blood, but a large gash formed on her back from a fight not too long ago. A tussle with the Heracles, which she so very slimly evaded.
Her human half was stunning. Beautiful even. But that was legend stereotyping. The lower half of her was a shimmering emerald, scaled fin. She had fins where her ears would normally go on a human(strangely, she could still hear), and her hair was unnaturally shiny.
As the water left her body, the traditional story of mermaids growing leg on land was revealed. She did indeed develop a pair of legs, and they weren't covered either. How inappropriate. It was a good thing she had the foresight to swim toward some kelp before she passed out, because it wrapped her body well, covering anything unsightly.
This was a scene from the movies.

¤¤ Mιтнσѕ Ygg∂яαѕιℓ "Is it a sin to be weak hearted? Not everyone's strong. Not everyone can stand being despised. " || Crappy post, but eh. ||Why was it that Mithos had decided to head to the beach? It wasn't like he was familiar with the world, why would he go on a vacation? Maybe it was a strange thought, that if he was alive, he would find his sister as well. He missed her dearly, and sadly, he hadn't seen her since the day of her death -- he was still sensitive with that subject. Speaking of which, where was Genis and the others? He glanced around him nervously. Well, it's not like it mattered; they would be upset with him now, more than upset, realistically.
He walked around aimlessly across the beach, walking past the crowds of people, some of which gave him odd stares at his clothing. One would think that at the beach, everyone would wear loose clothing. But Mithos wore his usual outfit. The blond half elf was in a bit of a daze, when suddenly he heard "ooh"s and "ah"s. He lowered his gaze to find a mermaid lying there, a long gash was formed on her back. Mithos's crystal blue eyes were widened for a while, until he finally remembered he should be helping the mermaid. Sadly, he had no healing artes, hell, he was a mage. He frowned, and took the mermaid into his arms. "Ugh, Dammit... Hey, you... does this town have a doctor?" His brows were furrowed in frustration as he questioned this. He couldn't search for one, they needed one as soon as possible. It seemed as if she had been bleeding for a while.

She was flat out cold, washing up on the beach wasn't something mermaids chose to do often. In fact, that was the opposite of what they liked to do. Especially this one. The gash on her back was fairly old, but it did reopen every so often. This time, it was because she was dragged along the sandy beach on her back. Her human legs had formed, and she was all but noticeable at this point. The only thing that screamed MERMAID was the fins in place of her ears. Other than that, she was a perfectly normal-albeit NAKED- girl. Good thing the kelp was covering her.
Now, here's where it got interesting; She was without a shadow of a doubt very much a mature woman. At least in her thirties from appearances. However, her maturity was far below that. She was still spiteful and full of hatred for humanity and all that they did with machines.
How dare they pollute and disturb HER oceans?!
And that was when her eyes shot open, and she saw that she was being held, naked, by a small boy. This obviously didn't go well for him, and she immediately broke free of his hands.
"W-what the Hell?!"

Dumb ass. How could the mermaid, at a moment like this, worry about being naked? Sure, that was one of the reasons Mithos had hesitated to help her, but that was simply for a split of a second. Now, he wanted to help her, and she was being immature about it. "What are you doing? Dumb ass. You know moving when you have a wound like that will only give you more of a chance at death? At least stay put until I find a doctor. " He never got the logic of Humans or Elves, and it seemed he did not quite understand Mermaids either. Of course ... maybe I should've gone for finding her clothes first. But still... she should be worrying MORE about her HEALTH He'd never met someone so careless of such a thing. "I don't care what you think. Stay still, or let me take you to a doctor. Or death. Which do you consider? You're lucky the humans didn't take you first. Scientists would have way too much of a time experimenting on someone like you."

Wait... He wasn't human?
"Humans? As in, you aren't one?" she perked up a bit, and was much less grouchy. "In that case, yes, I should probably go find some clothes. Don't worry about the gash, it's an old injury. I'm Lavazh by the way."
Her stance was still weak from the rough ride in from the tides, but nonetheless, she wasn't about to show it. She quickly grabbed more seaweed, covering herself more thoroughly, and smiled.
"I'm not a big fan of humans. They always disrupt and pollute MY ocean. not that I know how to fight though, so I can't do anything about it."
Her fins danced for a moment, as if trying to find water and failing, then settled down again.
"And who might you be?"

Mithos slowly nodded his head, somewhat nervously, and leaned in to whisper into her ear. "I'm a... half elf." It was a bad subject for Mithos, as it usual reminded him of his journeys with his sister, Yuan and Kratos, and what him and his sister were trying to do to stop discrimination. He was quiet for a few moments as the flashbacks ran through his head, and as soon as he realized it, he felt eyes on him again, and came back to reality. "I have different reasons," He explained, "I would rather not speak about it. My name is Mithos... It's nice to meet you, Lavazh." He gave a slight smile, though it showed he was quite nervous. He hadn't had to be polite to anyone for a while, Mithos wasn't really one for politeness either, but he didn't exactly want to blow his cover, or seem like a bad guy; he wanted to know where he was, and would get information from anyone, anyway.

"Terca... Lumireis?" It didn't exactly roll off the tongue that well, as any unfamiliar word often would. But it was also odd, too, how this world was also familiar in other way. The sky was the same blue, and the sand of the beach beneath her feet looked and felt like any other...
The Mizuho scout in front of her nodded in confirmation, and she had no reason to doubt what he was telling her. After all, Mizuho's Information Network was famous for numerous things, including its namesake. In any case, one of her own scouts had come back after she requested a thorough investigation of this place, and had come back, as expected, with what she had wanted to know. The nearest towns and their names, the presence of monsters and also the name of the place itself. "I see, thanks," she said, with a short nod.
She wondered, briefly, if the others were here as well. Surely she wasn't the only one to hear about this. But the voice of her scout, inquiring if she would be needing anything else, broke her out of that train of though. "No, not right now, at least. If anything does come up, though, I'll be in contact." And vice versa, naturally.
After being formally dismissed, the scout disappeared like any true ninja would. Sheena felt her shoulders relax, and dug her toe into the sand idly. Man, this was a real kettle of confusion, wasn't it? A new place suddenly popped up and no one had any idea how or why... of course, the sudden rising of voices would soon change her opinion of confusion, certainly. Not that all the noise was odd, per se. She was at a beach, after all, and she knew in Tethe'alla they were usually crowded with tourists or aristocracy on vacation. But it didn't sound like they were making so much noise due to something like a game or what have you. No, this seemed more like a spectacle, from the sound of it.
Curious, Sheena made her way through the crowd that was (thankfully) beginning to part, ignoring all the odd glances at her outfit along the way. When she finally reached what everyone was staring at, she couldn't help but gawk, too.
For one, there was a partially naked woman on the beach. But that wasn't the only thing wrong with this picture. "M-Mithos?" she couldn't help but squeak, shocked above all else. "Why are you... how are you here? I thought-" They had killed him, hadn't they? Yes, she clearly remembered seeing Lloyd smash his Cruxis Crystal, so... how?
But either way, she'd be prepared to face him, if this encounter proved deadly.

After the boy ran off without answering her questions((Anna can revisit us later much easier if we give her an excuse for why she was gone)) the mermaid was stuck standing face to face with another woman. This one, maybe was like the boy? Not human? If so, she would become at least on good terms with the woman. But if she were human, it would just not happen.
"You must be old pals with the kid. Sorry 'bout the mess here. I washed up on the beach like this." she said, her ears twitching to get a taste of water, and again failing to. She had naturally shiny hair, like the water reflecting a coral reef. The kelp around her wouldn't be enough for long. But there was a woman here. She could help get her some clothes.
"I hate to ask, but do you know a good clothes store around here? I'm uh... not local, and I lost mine while swimming."
Nice excuse, if she did say so herself. Her fin-ears were dead giveaways though. She wasn't human. But hopefully this new woman would just think of them as a headpiece and not ask too much. There was enough people around who she assumed already knew, but she wouldn't acknowledge them. If they tried telling someone, she'd hit them. Hard.
Not like she could fight.

He... he ran off. Just like that? Well, Sheena hadn't been expecting that at all. But the question was why? Mithos was certainly powerful enough to not have to run away like that... But she didn't have time to ponder that conundrum as the woman Mithos was previously with spoke up. "Uh," she started, not sure how to go about this. "I dunno about that, but..." It was a long story, obviously. And she didn't quite know where to start on it, so she decided to leave it at that.
In any case, back to the woman... whom, she just now noticed, had fins where her ears should be. Well, Sheena had seen many things in her life (Summon Spirits and Centurions, for starters), but this wasn't any less surprising. Maybe they... were just decoration? Or maybe this world was stranger than she had first thought. "N-no, but there's probably is a place around here," she glanced back into the departing crowd.
"Somewhere," she added. The place looked like a tourist trap, after all, so there was bound to be a shop or two around for this sorta thing.

"Cool, cool." She would have extended a hand to the woman, if not for the fact that she was holding up kelp to cover herself. She wasn't embarrassed by her body-in fact she was damn proud of it- she just didn't want HUMANS gawking at it. She felt sick just thinking about it.
"I'm Lavazh. Expert sea protecter, at your service."
Okay, so she was cocky. But who wasn't these days? Ah, finally, the crowd went away. She could feel comfortable again. The woman she was speaking with, she suspected wasn't human as well, like that other kid. She didn't even know what an elf or half elf was, but if it wasn't human, who cares?
"Who might you be?" She asked, walking her way toward some clothing stalls.

¤¤ Mιтнσѕ Ygg∂яαѕιℓ "Is it a sin to be weak hearted? Not everyone's strong. Not everyone can stand being despised. " Sheena. Sheena was here. Without any words, Mithos ran off, disappearing into the crowds of people, making sure he was out of vision. Think. That was all he had to do, correct? Think of a way to explain to Sheena, and the rest of Lloyd's group as to why he was alive; sadly, he didn't know himself, so he couldn't help but make something up. Otherwise, they would think he was hiding something.
Well, there wasn't much that he could make out at the time he was brought back, there was a white light, and his vision returned -- only to find he was in a different world, an unfamiliar land. His body was heavy as lead, but at the moment he was too fascinated by the comparisons of this world and the worlds of Sylvarant and Tethe'alla. Where am I? He would say to himself as he traveled aimlessly, How did I get here? The same words had been thought, as well as repeated by many, although, not the exact. Some came on purpose when they realized the link, but Mithos had just appeared he had been dead, and then like magic, he was conscious again. It was wonderful to have the feeling of the wind blowing past him again, but at the same time, he still had the longing for his sister, Martel... if he was alive, she should have been too, right? Would he run into her? How long would it take?
Not wanting to think to deeply about his sister, the blond pushed the thoughts to the back of his head, and his gaze wandered. Sheena and Lavazh were nowhere in sight. Good. He still had to think to himself. Maybe I should just tell the truth. It's not like I have anything to hide. Sheena hates me, all of Lloyd's group does, He paused, and visibly showed a bit of frustration and pain. But it's not like I'll be doing anything wrong this time.... Martel HAS to be alive... she has to... why wouldn't she...? ...If I'm here... she should be. We were all linked into Mana... If I'm lucky enough to be dragged back to the living, Martel and possibly some of the other souls should be able to be as well... He was trying to make sense of it to himself, but he couldn't. It didn't make sense. But sooner or later he'd have to face Lloyd's group, so he might as well get Sheena over with now. He walked through the crowd, somewhat nervously, but remained holding his head up with pride. No matter how much hesitance he had, he was able to gain Lloyd's group's trust in the first place, if he did the right thing he would be able to get it again. He didn't want to return to life, from Purgatory, already having enemies. It'd be ridiculous!
They said they were going to get clothing; they should be somewhere in one of the clothing stores. So he peaked around the corners, before catching sight of Sheena in one of them. He walked slowly as to not startle her.
"Hey, you-- er... Sheena?" Mithos called, too used to not treating any of the group with formalities, he'd stuttered when going from 'you' to 'Sheena', he almost didn't want to call her by her name. It felt strange on his tongue. "I need to talk to you... before or after Lavazh gets clothed. It's about why I'm here..."

There he was again. That kid, who wasn't human. Mithos? Yeah, that was it. Lavazh gave him a smile and waved. She was friendly to nonhumans. And she was in a casual beachgoer's outfit now; a tied off jacket around her waist covering a dark red swimsuit, and a bikini top to match. It was all the store had that the owner said she could take. She was an interesting old woman who understood the need at hand, and cut Lavazh a deal. She decided ts oman was nice, but still human scum. She hated humans.
"Sheena look, it's that Mithos kid!" She shouted, hoping to get noth ther attention at once. Her ears were still twitching a bit but it wasn't as bad as when she first got beached. One noted thing was that she refused to cover her scar. It was her war mark. The symbol she bore to dexlare vendetta on humanity.

After introducing herself to Lavazh ("Oh, right! I'm Sheena. Sheena Fujibayashi."), neither lingered for long as the two went to find the previously beached woman some clothes. Luckily, this didn't take too long, as there happened to be a woman that provided Lavazh with clothes for free. (Though, Sheena had still insisted on paying, but the elderly woman would not be persuaded) Soon after this act of kindness, Sheena heard two things she hadn't been hoping to hear about again today.
For starters, her strange new companion pointing out that Mithos was there. And secondly, Mithos himself. Without thinking, she stepped forward between the two of them. Just in case.
She swallowed, and weighed the options of actually talking with Mithos. On one hand, it was hard to imagine a civil conversation with him. But on the other hand, she couldn't help but be curious as to how he was here. "...Alright," she said, after what seemed an eternity had passed. "Only in public, though," she added, thinking - hoping - that he wouldn't try anything surrounded by so many people. If not, she could always call forth one of her summons for aid. She wondered what they would think to see him again.

|crappy. crappy. crappyyyyy | Of course he couldn't have expected much else from Sheena. He had done quite a lot to Lloyd's group (mostly Colette), though it was Sheena's own choice that brought him here, she had questioned him before and he ran off; now, he was facing her and she was freaking out. Could the woman not make a simple decision? To talk to him, or not to?
"Well, isn't that nice?" Mithos murmured quietly, " ... I guess I don't have much of a choice though.." He kicked the ground softly in frustration, he knew what he was going to say, but it seemed stupid , to tell her that he really didn't know how he got here.
"Where am I supposed to start with telling you? Why I'm here... I don't know. There ..... was so much light, and I could feel warmth. It was strange, but... I opened my eyes and found myself here, in this world. Alive. If I am alive... I'm sure there are others..." This hinted what he was thinking. Martel would be alive. He stared at Sheena silently for a few moments, before shyly moving his gaze down once more. There were many times in his last life when he wasn't accepted, and times like these were the worst. Sheena would probably think he was lying.

Vaguely, Sheena wondered what anyone outside of this conversation would think of it. Which, she then realized, included Lavazh. She mentally sighed, not really looking forward to the possibility of explaining all this.
But speaking of explaining. "That's..." Okay, what was she supposed to say about that? Now she was just as lost as Mithos probably was about this whole deal. After all, if he didn't know, then she couldn't think of anyone else who might've. "I've never heard of anything like that before," she said, starting with the obvious. Warm light and then waking up? Yeah, it sounded fishy. Then, her lips tightened, as she took an easy guess at what he was thinking.
"I guess the next question is what are you planning?"
