The dagger flying back at him was humorous, to say the least. He allowed it to penetrate right through its mark, and it was absorbed into his body.
"Throwing my own body at me? Surely you weren't serious."
His face exposed, the rotting flesh and disfigured jawline from before, though he miraged it with a normal, perfectly friendly face. the original face of Raphael Kohma. A young looking, wise boy with the eyes of a killer.
"Engill Vindur?" he knew Engill of his homeland meant holy, but he wasn't sure of the other word. Engill was a secret code word among the Labrynth citizens, also known as Zephyrus' monster city, filled to the brim, with people just like Skade.
"Who is so holy that we are focusing our time on attacking each other rather than them?"
He readied a defensive stance, just in case this was a setup. Tnerrot leaking out of his hand and forming its Unleashed mode once more, covering most of his body.

Dairen chuckled. "Engill Vindur, the Angel of the Wind," he provided, allowing his claws to vanish for the time being, wings folding neatly on his back. "A being so powerful that its very blood can help reshape an entire planet's core. As for our little skirmish... "
The demon chuckled lightly, running a hand through his hair. "I would apologize for my behaviour, but it would be insincere. I've never met a mortal like you, after all.
"He's a boy, appears human save for his eyes and hair. He does not belong to this world, and just his presence would give away what he truly is."
Little did either male know, hidden deep in the shadows of the ruined town, a pair of azure eyes seeming to glow in the dark was watching them both, her presence masked and entirely unnoticeable.

Skade gave this brief thought before he smirked.
"I know the one." he finally said, his blade seeping back into his body as a sign of good will. "And believe me, I would not apologize either. Your skills are impressive, and you walk the same path as I."
His gaze turned to the distance, where he sensed his former servant. Yes, that was surely the one the man meant. That was the one who could use magic of another world. To Skade, this man was another world's version of himself.
"I will go and personally exterminate those around him, and you may have him to yourself."
He laughed. A deep, slow, evil laugh.
"It's time to close the book on us, lab rats."
Skade vanished.

Dairen had to chuckle lightly, watching as the human vanished. Looking around at the town revealed its wretched state, its destruction. This town was, quite literally, set back for quite a while. It would take years for it to get back to its former glory, and even longer for anyone to truly forget what had happened here, should there truly be any survivors.
"'Engill Vindur,' was it?"
His blood froze.
It was normally impossible to extract such fear from Dairen, who was usually unable to feel such a thing in the first place. Yet as he spun around, claws out in an instant, it was obvious why as the angelic woman approached.
Flowing blond hair, golden orbs of light surrounding her form as well as adorning her head in a headdress of sorts. Her white armour was almost blinding due to the natural glow that surrounded her form, piercing blue eyes burning holes into his very core.
"Well, well," he spoke, keeping his voice steady even as he took a step back. He wasn't stupid: he knew a losing battle when he saw it. "If it isn't the Engill Ljóssins herself."
Azure eyes narrowed, and he knew he was in trouble already.
"Silence, daemon."
Nothing could have prepared him for the pressure that suddenly engulfed him. Dairen struggled to stay standing, eventually forced onto his knees, barely able to look up at the angel as she stood in front of him, gaze unwavering.
"Where is he?" Her voice indicated a demand, one that he doubted he could even hope to refuse.
"As if I would know," he spat, defiant still. He may as well try, anyway. He'd never forgive himself if he was submissive towards an angel, of all things. "And even if I did, I wouldn't tell you."
The pressure increased tenfold, this time forcing Dairen flat against the ground. Would he really end up dying like this? So soon?
"I do not wish to play your games, daemon. Or would you like to join your mother in whatever hell it is you monsters reside in once your life expires?"
He grit his teeth, steeling himself as he saw her infamous lance appear in her hands. He wasn't ready to die here just yet.
"You should... be able to seek him out yourself," he managed to say, hands curling into fists as he tried to push himself back up. Naturally, he was met with even more pressure, grunting in pain as it actually began to hurt now. "Are you not the Engill Ljóssins?! You could... find him... easily... !"
Suddenly, the pressure vanished. Dairen, startled by this, got up and backed away from her as fast as he could, golden eye narrowed as those azure eyes continued to bear holes into his soul.
"Begone, daemon. Before I change my mind."
He didn't have to think twice.
Dairen was gone in an instant, vanishing in a burst of his black flames.
The blond angel looked around her, wincing slightly at the damage. Taking a deep breath, allowing her lance to vanish, the light orbs around her form quickly formed a ring around her body, spinning wildly until they all seemed to meld into one. With a simple command and flick of her wrist, it expanded rapidly, surrounding the town. After a few short seconds it burst, sprinkling the town in light. Buildings were restored, blood was erased, and people - both dead and those still living - were healed, restored to full health.
She sighed, feeling the drain in her power as she watched the humans stirring. She would need to compose a truce of sorts with this world's Deity, lest she and and the other Kouderrans suffer for it.
As the first few humans began to get to their feet and become aware of their surroundings, Lady Mika, Elemental of Light and Bringer of Life, vanished, leaving naught but a sole, white feather in her place.
