The battle of a lifetime: Dairen Khi of Kouderra vs. Skade of Neganite! Will Torim survive? Will anyone?
... Don't bet on it.
Capua Torim.
The sister port of Capua Nor.
This much, Dairen had learned.
His encounter with Alex had left him seething, burning with rage, and it showed in his very form. Shadows had practically enveloped his body, golden eyes now a solid, deep crimson: the eyes of a demon.
Torim was already bathed in the stench of death, the once-beautiful town littered with bodies. Whether or not the people were still living, however, could not be determined.
"That damned... Englll... !"
His voice no longer even remotely resembled a human's. At this point, Dairen Khi was just the embodiment of rage.
He roared, a loud, feral roar that had any brave Knights in the area scrambling to get away, especially as shadows shot up from the ground around him, practically bathing Torim in their taint, blocking out the sun, becoming his perfect haven.
A Demon's Town.

Skade's powers, at his current strength;
Tnerrot(Torrent's mirror. Soul absorbing sword made from Skade's own life force)
Shapeshifting into people he has killed
Any spell you hit him with(He is a mirror being)
Brute force enough to topple steel buildings
Sheer terror factor(to the weak minded)
Generation of mental images that directly project the opponent's fears(Only useful against opponents with weak minds)
Use of his entire body as a weapon
Shadow jumping(The ability to fade in and out of shadows)
Levitation(not flight)
------------------------------------------------------
On the other side of the road was another fighter. His body covered in blood, his hair permanently dyed with the color and stench, and his armor resembling bone, one could mistake him for the spawn of evil. However, he was merely rage. The rage of a war hero, manifested into a body by the power of Zephyrus.
Skade Mutsumi. Though most just called him "Run for your life!"
In his hand was a sword literally the size of his body. No purpose could be behind such a massive blade except intimidation. After all, he WAS holding it with one hand. the blade blinked-it had an eye-and then the body of the individual before him shriveled into dust. He absorbed them.
"Tnerrot, my old blade... You are more than enough power."
Another began to run away, and he smirked from under his mask. He hurled his blade at them, landing the mark from such great distance it was terrifying to even think about throwing a sword that big at all, let alone that far. After retrieving it, he saw another. This one was different.
"Why must you interfere with my work? Begone, cretin, lest you become one of them."

The demon paused in his work, his grip ever-tight on his current victim's neck as he slowly turned his head at whoever dared interrupt him. His single, crimson eye flashed slightly, running over the newcomer in bone armour, before he smirked, his white fangs showing in stark contrast to the shadows enveloped around him.
"Ég vil sjá þig reyna, dauðlega."
This newcomer stank of blood, making his own dance with delight as he went back to the human in his hands, taking his free hand and putting it over his face. Without a second thought, the demon crushed the human's skull, reveling in the smell of blood, even going as far as to lick the liquid from his hand.
If it was a turf war, he would not lose. He may not know where he was, but he'd just claimed this town as his. And he would not be leaving it anytime soon.
Tossing the human corpse aside, Dairen straightened his form, slowly turning to Skade before he acted instantaneously. With a powerful push off the ground he was up in the air, dive-bombing the war hero while simultaneously making whips of shadows shoot out of the ground, coming for him.

Shadow whips. An easy start, yes? Skade melded himself into the shadow whips, and in this temporary state he moved to another shadow. The shadow of a building. The dive bomb would surely miss at this distance.
"Seven minutes. Seven minutes is all I should spare to play with you."
Tnerrot blinked and seemingly vibrated in excitement. The bones adorning his armor were free of the blood, as it cleaned off of him when he entered the shadows, leaving a nice pool of blood where he once was. His attitude towards this fight was more or less amusement.
Seeing the man still in the air, Skade stayed where he was, and instead attacked by melding reality itself around them, distorting the ground into whatever would give the most fright to the opponent. It was all an image, however. His next move was to talk down the ability to think or rationalize.
"Jumping blindly into battle, even with odds such as this? My my, how easy this will be for me."
His taunting was part of his fighting. Talk them down and they perform at a lesser rate. Simple as that.
Now his favorite part: the actual fight. With these variables analyzed, he saw no need to run. This man was string yes, but Skade was Skade. He would either win, or die trying.

Dairen's smirk grew into a wide, malicious grin, his crimson eye almost instantly noticing the lack of person as he expertly panned out his wings, pulling up quick enough to avoid becoming a splatter on the pavement.
Mind magic would not work on him.
"Not bad, dauðlega," he said, instead using a more common language. "However... "
He crouched low, onto all fours, and seemed to be channeling energy. The very air shook due to the sheer power, a very clear indicator that these two beings should not ever clash. In a quick burst, the energy shot out, shadows engulfing the surrounding buildings and instantly toppling them.
"The shadows are my domain."
As if to emphasize this, the shadows on his own body morphed, turning his figure into something far more feral. The bat-like wings on his back stretched out, claws extending out on each hand.

His eyes narrowed at this change. What peculiar power he held. Still, it was of little consequence. The Neganite world of magic would shine. Not that it was almighty, but Skade wasn't exactly a weakling either.
"Learn your disciplines, maggot."
Skade would leave his tricks at home. This was a fight for brute force. Tnerrot agreed and returned to simple form. Yes, Tnerrot had all the abilities of Torrent, including forms. A simple katana with an eyeball in the blade, it was now. He actually downpowered himself for this fight. Raising his blade to his back, he held a pose of complete and total defenselessness. He was expecting Darien to attack next.

"'Maggot'? Me?"
His smirk grew wider still, standing up, one hand extending out to Skade.
"You've done nothing but spew insults this entire time. I wonder, are you trying to make up for something? A lack of strength, perhaps?"
His eye narrowed, shadows swirling around his arm now in a threatening manner.
"Or perhaps you're scared, dauðlega."
It wasn't a question.
The shadows burst out, launching at Skade, splitting up when they were half-way to their destination and attacking from multiple sides, determined to get the so-called 'war hero.'
Yet as the attack let loose, Dairen noticed a could-be-significant drop in his strength, faltering just he slightest of bits. The realization hit him almost instantaneously: Kouderran magic was not welcome in this place. Too much, and he could very well be his own undoing.
It would seem I can't use that attack too often...

"Lack of strength?"
His fist slammed forward, and the sheer force of the stop puntcured the air in front of him. Water droplets become visible despite no rain being present.
"I've more than enough for you."
The shadows were coming quickly. He decided to humor the foe, and stood there, allowing them to hit. What happened instead of the typical amount of damage, though, was simply put, terrifying. The attack landed, and his own blood had indeed been shed. However, the spell seeped into the open wound. From under his mask, Skade smirked, and the fist he extended shot the exact same spell right back at his opponent. Following up the spell, Skade made a charge forward, with in relentless strength, pushing up several clumps of debris with every pound of his bone played boots.
He raised his blade to attempt a downward diagonal slash.

He would admit, he was surprised to see his attack deflected and redirected so easily, meaning that his opponent was really no pushover.
That only made him grin even wider, the shadows on his form practically dancing in delight.
Demons, after all, lived off the thrill of the battle, and off blood. There was no way he wouldn't be enjoying this fight.
It was easy enough to redirect the shadows off in an opposite direction, away from any sort of harm. As Skade charged him, however, Dairen had to think quick on his feet, effortlessly jump up into the air again, narrowly avoiding the slash as it came down, bat-like wings spreading out and catching him.
"You're cocky, dauðlega."
It was easy enough to fire off a round of shadow bolts at close range as he put distance between him and the close-ranged fighter, landing once again on the ground once he'd gained enough. He sent an extra round of bolts out at Skade before the shadows on his body morphed again, and his claws were quickly formed. A defense, in case he had to defend against that weapon of his.
"Ég nýt þessari baráttu þegar," he said, more to himself than anything, in that twisted language of his, once more smirking maliciously.

There was no time to dodge, so he went with the next best thing; With his diagonal swing, he slammed the sword into the ground, using the full force to swing himself into a somersault. The attacks landed, and he did as he had before, absorbing them. On the somersault, he fired them out with his boots this time, and upon landing the maneuver, he had seen a few more that would have hit him had he not been quick. The sword pulled up from the ground as he landed, and from it he shot off another of the same attack, and that was the last of them.
"Cocky isn't what I would call it."
The katana shaped Tnerrot was slashed toward one last oncoming attack, cutting it in half and making the blade glow a bright black before eventually fading into the original color.
He stood, now, awaiting the next attack. As if he were just toying with his opponent.

"Hm... "
Dairen didn't look even remotely threatened, his mood changed in a flash as he analyzed Skade's form. Now that he realized it, the human had done nothing but absorb his spells and dodge his attacks. He had yet to really initiate anything.
A devilish grin made its way onto his face as he seemed to figure something out, wings panning out as he pushed off the ground, charging at the war hero, hoping to cut off any chance to dodge as he brought up his claws and aimed to slash. No matter how hard that armour was, if he landed a hint, he knew he would at least do some kind of damage.

What speed! Well, good thing he was a quick thinker. He crouched and held his blade steady, at a matched arc of the man's claw. The clash was imminent. Brute force alone wouldn't win this one over. no, he had to be quick thinking too. And as a half monster, thinking was one of his strong suits.
Neganite monsters adapted to humans, and obliterated them with no remorse.
Enough taunting. Skade grounded himself well, digging the back of his boot into the ground. The other was free, though, for quick turns. As the clash hit, Skade caught the claw, and spun using his grounded boot. Now was something fun; he levitated after the attack, just inches off the ground, and was able to go from the spin to behind Darien. Rather than slashing, though, he brought his elbow down, aimed at the man's back. In his other hand, the blade was held below him. If this connected, needless to say it would be bloody. Skade was willing to cut his own arm in half to kill this man. There was no end to his murderous tact.

Dairen... laughed.
It was easy enough to turn his body to face the man, grin widening still as he immediately retaliated, shadows shooting out and grabbing Skade's arms before they could do any sort of damage. With simple ease, the demon took the chance to back off, wings spanning out and working to get him at a safe distance.
"You'll have to try harder than that," he mocked, a simple flick of the wrist making the shadows back off. In their place, on the ground surrounding Skade, black flames burst to life. Whether they were just shadows or real flames was anyone's guess.

Skade wasn't about to give a damn about fire, or this man's power. He charged headlong through it, directly at the man. Whether he was burned from that or not, he didn't actually give a damn; he was an embodiment of rage and torture; why would he care if something was burning?
As he came face to face with the man, he vanished, melting into particles of mist. That mist collected again in the shadows, as that was an advanced shadow crawling technique. He waited, then, for the right moment. Tnerrot came to Tame mode, forming a small dagger. He hurled it at his opponent, and accompanying that was some of the black fire he was burned with, propelling it forward at ridiculous speeds.
He was unarmed, and didn't give a damn.

Dairen was... genuinely surprised by the tactic, though rather than being frightened, he was more amused than anything. The dagger that was suddenly hurled at him, coated in his own flames, only served to further fuel his entertainment. With an easy flick of the wrist, Dairen manipulated the flames around the dagger, keeping it surrounded and, consequently, gaining control over the weapon itself, temporary or not. Using the same speed Skade had given it, he made it turn in a wide arc before firing it back right at the man.
"Using my own abilities against me now?" he remarked, smirking wider still. For once, the shadows around his form vanished, leaving him standing in his almost-human form, sans the bat-like wings on his back. No longer was his eye crimson red, but instead a gleaming gold, almost cat-like now.
And then he felt it: that small, almost undetectable presence that he wouldn't have felt otherwise had he not reverted back. That damnable presence, masked by all the darkness and fighting and adrenaline ever-present in their battle. The surprise was almost shown... almost.
"You... have been in contact with the Engill Vindur," he noted out loud. It wasn't a question, though it sounded too much like a thought-out-loud thing to have been said out loud.
Well, wasn't this interesting...
Getting back into his battle stance, Dairen half-pondered what it was he wanted to do. If this man had been in contact with the Engill, then there was a chance he knew where he was. On the other hand, this man had already proven he wasn't one for talk.
