Chris and I were at an unnamed mall, much bigger than our own Pheasant Lane. The dream began on an escalator, heading to a book store of again, unknown name. Upon our arrival, we found a small, nerdy looking girl running the counter. I assume this was roughly a year from our current time, because at that point I had gotten a text message from Danielle saying she was really excited about her college books finally coming in the mail.
As we approached the manga(typical of Chris) I noticed that they had volume one of Scott Pilgrim. I looked for the others, remembering I actually didn't own them yet. Chris noticed the girl at the counter seemed very upset, and asked what was wrong. Apparently, she had just been robbed the day before. We first wondered "Who robs a book store?" But then, we decided to do what we could to help her out.
Chris and I were let behind the counter, where she explained the situation. At that point, the dream cut to black.
This is where it gets weird.
We rejoin me, alone, on the top of the Lowes parking lot near the Pheasant Lane mall. I begin to walk down, and the area below me has changed greatly. Cumberland Farms was now a store called SpeedyStop. The automobile and fast food places were all replaced by a variety of public parks and convenience stores, with only the Wendy's remaining the same. I get on what was apparently my motorcycle, and drive to the area of town closest to Pips.
In the streets behind there, I park outside of the front lawn of the same nerdy book store girl. From inside the house comes Chris, though he looked completely different. He was taller, and had more muscle than before. on top of that, he was wearing glasses. Apparently, the two got married, and had invented a syringe-like object for sinks that caught wildly on due to its usefulness. They called it WetShot. Chris welcomed me back, saying it'd been a long two years without me.
Two years.
Next, it cuts me to going to another mall of unknown name. I assume it to be the Pheasant Lane mall, considering the time span of the dream. While I walk, I pass a shop full of fossils and necklaces. It is outside this store that I saw my sister Bri. She saw me, smiled, began to tear up, and ran at me to hug me. This was the first time I had gotten a look at myself in the dream too, through the glass windows.
I was the same height, with hair styled identical to Leon Kennedy, of my natural color. I had a black scarf which I believe was used to cover my mouth, and a black, long sleeve shirt. Black jeans, with a brown belt, and some black running shoes. One of my eyes was covered by a patch. I explained to Bri that "Sometimes things like that happen out there." I have yet to figure out where I was talking about.
Bri and I walked around, discussing her life and eventually leaving the mall and going to a cemetery where we met up with Chris. All of us put down a rose on a tombstone that I did not recognize the name of, and then for the final part of this time period, we went back to what I believe was my house. There, my dog, a black lab, greeted us and licked Bri's hand. We sat down for coffee(much to Chris' delight) and watched the news.
Skip ahead yet another year. I am playing a video game in a home being built, for reasons I do not know. Maybe I bought the land and was building a house. Regardless, I was playing a game. At first, I played a side-scrolling game that featured Street Fighter characters. Afterward, I switched to an unnamed game, which looked realistic to an exact. I heard a loud bang outside, and took a look. There was a group of people outside, who I apparently recognized, because I grabbed a few small items of self defense and ran. I jumped out the unfinished window, rolling as I landed, and hid behind a stone wall.
I assume that I learned how to do all of this when I lost my eye. The first three men came at me, and I knocked them out doing some form of martial art I did not recognize. The last one punched me in the gut, and threw me, quite literally, into my unfinished house again. After a minute of being dazed, I grabbed the taser I had stored at the beginning and subdued him. Calling first the police, and then Chris, the dream cut out with me saying to myself.
"Guess nobody can run forever. Sorry, guys."
